Horror film's are fifty, fifty the film can be a palm sweating, head screaming horror, or it could be boring and predictable. The classic horrors that not only made history, but deserved there own theme song was Halloween with the pale masked Mike Meyers. Nightmare on Elm Street welcoming the burnt face Freddy Kruger into every ones nightmares. Last, but not least Friday the Thirteenth with the Hockey masked Jason. All three of these series of scream fest movies were well plotted and shocked you with 3,000 volts of cover your eyes horror. Halloween was fantastic I still can't pass a tree with out having a fear of Old Mikey hiding behind it. I think the best idea that came from this film was having Mike always do his threatening scares in the daytime in his films especially the classics he was always popping up in the daytime with the sun out. Then he would attack and start his murders when the moon came up. Also his main prey was his family that was the most twisted part of the film he always was after his family to put them to an end. Freddy Kruger was the only horror film that had me jumpy still afterwards, because it wasn't as if Freddy had to escape from a crazy home, or he could be stopped with a gun or knife. He was already dead, and the only time you could visit him was in your dreams were anything could happen to you there. Also I heard if you die in your dreams you die in real life. Well Freddy had a fetish for dream hunting. I was always to scared to go to bed after watching Nightmare on Elm street. I liked that film alot also cause it had the beautiful, sexy, young Johnny Depp in it which just put the icing onto of the murder-film cake. Never was a big fan of Friday the thirteenth I'm not saying it was creative, just never really find it as thrilling as my buddies Mike, and Freddy. The hockey mask always got to me i can never watch the Rangers again without getting chills down my spine when they give a close up of the goalie. You know what I loved about these films the chose of weapon always something unusual and tortures in use. Mike had to carry the simple everyday kitchen knife, he never wanted to upgrade to a big hook-dagger something unique like that. Freddy had those amazing four claws made out of sharpened blades, that is defiantly the ultimate use of weapon. Who thinks of having four blades on there hand instead of carrying it in his pockets, but i noticed he rarely uses his blades he always ends up killing his victims in a demented way in their dream like having there head blow up or having their bed sheets strangle them. I don't believe Jason ever had a real weapon he just used whatever was the closest for him to grab and then he would turn it into a weapon, like a rock or a sharp edge of wood. It's very powerful when a director can put so much fear into someone just by playing a simple tune that represent these characters, a few notes that can be created in a theme songs to match up with the insane murders on screen can truly make a good film famous. These three shockingly scary films were able to slap fear into millions of viewer over the world. The directing and script writing was the heart and amazing acting was the soul that built such a strong foundation around incredible horror films such as these.
