I recently had the pleasure of viewing the crowning achievement of American cinema. This movie is known as Encino Man, this is defiantly Brendan Fraser scene at his finest except from his well know film George of the Jungle. There is much depth and intellectual dialog that is spoken through out the film. Dave Morgan which is the main character played by Sean Astin and his side kick Stoney Brown marvelously done by Pauly Shore. They are two senior nerds in high school, though they refer to themselves as weasels. The story sparks when they find a caveman iced over in Dave's backyard when they were digging the yard up to build a pool. The ice begins to melt in Dave's garage and soon enough the cave man begins to run wild. This is where the plot begins to thicken for these two weasels have to tame this mammal, by dressing him in the fashion, teaching him the lingo, showing him all the ladies, and giving him general tip on the life during the bold early 90's. The new named caveman Link brings these to adolescents on a journey that blows their socks off, you never know what Link is going to do next, if it is drive a car on two wheels or jump off a balcony to sniff a pretty girl. The movie is fun, and had me laughing the whole time. I think my favorite character of this movie would have to be Stoney just cause Pauly is such a hilarious actor, and the role he played was great, basically if you want to be a goonie your whole life then follow in Stoney's foot stops. This film teaches you numerous morals such as always be yourself and your true love will find you. Also it doesn't matter how popular you are, what really matters is how you are on the inside.
