Run LoLa Run (1998) was what I felt a very trippy movie from the music to the crazy images. I really like this movie I would give it five stars, I thought it was very interesting. To start off the main character LoLa played by Franka Potente grasped my attention just by her crazy red hair. The way that the film kept switching from cartoon to reality I felt was so creavtive, even how she would shadier glass when she screamed it really capture her anxious anger. The beginning of the movie was straight to the point it threw you right into their deadly dilemma. The film had its comedy scenes, i think the funniest part of the movie was when the ambulance was doing so much destruction, how ironic first it goes straight threw the glass and then it runs Manni right over. The vehicle that is supposed to take care of the injured, is the one doing the damages. Time was a major factor in this movie down to the last second, that's what made the film so suspenseful. When she was robbing her father's bank I couldn't help but scream HURRY HURRY times running out under my breath. Even when she changed the pace in her running it made such a drastic difference in peoples lives, which later on changed the outcome at the end. It was brilliant to have Polaroid shots of every persons life that LoLa pumped into. This movie was very well put together, there was no slow part throughout this entire movie, I enjoyed it very much. I think Tom Tykwer did not only write a fantastic film about the measures someone will go through to help their love one survive a horrific situation, and how time adds up in any plot you create for yourself, he also did an amazing directing job as well.
