Across the Universe was a fabulously vibrant film. At times the film does get a bit slow, but if you are a Beatles fan you would have enjoyed every second of it. This film shows in almost every scene a story behind numerous Beatles song. I am a very big fan of the famous Beatles so I found this movie very interesting. The setting of the film was during the Vietnam War, so you begin to understand the connection through there songs and the war. I still wonder if the Beatles never experimented with drugs would their music be just as good, would their songs be as creative, and their beats be just as transing. This movie has a lovely romance story a poor male artist falls in love with a wealthy American girl. This movie was on screen in 2007 it was directed by Julie Taymor who did a fabulous job showing the difference in two peoples background and how that draws them together into deep love. I feel this movie didn't get enough credit that it deserved. The scenes in this film are incredible; there are so many powerful images that show on the screen. The choreography in the film is interesting I like the moves they decided to choose and the steps they did to certain beats. I would rate this movie a 4 out of 5 in my book.
